First of all, the Middletown SPARTANS do their best to be a positive force in the Central Connecticut community, but we couldn't do it without our sponsors and supporters. We appreciate having them by our side, every step of the way, as we strive to excel. Thanks.

Greetings from the Middletown SPARTANS Football Club.

The Middletown SPARTANS are semi-pro football team made up of players with college and high school experience from Ct, Ma. R.I, & N.Y.

The SPARTANS are a proud member of the New England Football League N.E.F.L. The league is made up of 44 teams playing in four divisions spread throughout New England.

We are a community-oriented organization whose goal is to enhance our community through civic involvement, service and high level sports entertainment. We intend to be role models for young adults and intend to be a place where adults looking for stability and sense of purpose can belong. We intend to reach this goal by showing the importance of selflessness, teamwork, leadership and most of all good character in doing so.

We also intend to bring high quality, competitive football to the Central Connecticut area. We promise to be exciting and fun to watch for the whole family. Our mission is to provide Middlesex County with a highly organized semi-pro football team; which in turn will provide the opportunity for adult athletes to continue their football careers.

The Middletown SPARTANS were started in 2007 by Jeff Hurlburt. Jeff had a lifelong dream of owning a football team and with the help of dedicated players and staff has made that dream come true.

The team played its first two seasons in single “A” and played in the 2008 “A”. division championship. The SPARTANS have since moved to the N.E.F.L. “AA” Division and also started a Developmental team called the Ct. SPARTANS . This move has been challenging, exciting, and rewarding. The “AA” squad made the playoffs and the N.E.F.L. II team the Ct. SPARTANS went undefeated and won the inaugural N.E.F.L. II Championship.

If you want to continue your football career as a member of one of the best organizations in semi-pro football, please contact the SPARTANS by clicking here.
